We’ve just crossed another mile marker at The Rec!
We now offer #Tutoring, #CareerPlanning, #Etiquette Classes, #HomeEc, #Emotional Development & #Economic Development programs Monday-Thursday.
Through local partnerships these skill sets in addition to recreation & crafts will help propel our youth into a brighter future!
It’s not an easy task.
- 4 buses running to 8 schools, dropping off in 4 towns 4 days a week.
- A full staff to support 30-60 youth daily.
- Feeding, providing a facility, outings & activities, all without grants, federal, state, or local funding.
- All done on the grassroots generous donations of those believe in this vision & future of these youth!
150 donors, giving $100 a month (that’s $3.33 a day), would meet our monthly budget. Yet a person who’d say I’m going to give $25 a week, or someone who says I’m going to give a yearly donation.
It gives us an opportunity to take youth from poverty, to influence against addiction, to give tools for entrepreneurship, budgeting, cooking, career planning & just to show unconditional love.
It helps us to change the future one child at a time.
